Englewood Emergency Operations Center Phase Two

Amount Requested: $1,031,000

Intended Recipient: City of Englewood

Description: This funding supports the Englewood Emergency Operations Center Phase Two project. This investment ensures that the EOC can serve as a comprehensive Emergency Operations Center and provide the necessary equipment, technology, supplies, vehicles, and functional space for its operation. 

Township of Barnegat for Sewer Pump Station Generator Flood Hardening

Amount Requested: $675,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Barnegat

Description: This project supports the replacement & elevation of generators at three sanitary sewer pump stations located on East Bay Avenue. This investment will harden critical wastewater infrastructure so that the pump stations can continue operating during coastal storm and flood events. 

Shelter Island Wetlands Restoration

Amount Requested: $500,000

Intended Recipient: City of Margate

Description: This project supports a scoping project to complete the design, permitting, plans, and specification for the restoration of Shelter Island for the City of Margate. This investment will fulfil a priority project in the Atlantic County Hazard Mitigation Plan. 

North End Seawall Extension in Brigantine

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Intended Recipient: City of Brigantine

Description: This funding supports extension of a seawall in Brigantine. This investment will Extend 
the seawall approximately 275 feet and will serve to protect several homes between 14th Street North and 15th Street North. 

Mill Street Dam Improvements

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Intended Recipient: City of Port Republic

Description: This funding makes improvements to the Mill Street Dam in the City of Port Republic. This investment will address the lack of protection provided by inoperable sluice gates and will greatly improve resiliency for future flood events.

Burlington County EOC’s Joint Information Center (JIC) update

Amount Requested: $2,100,000

Intended Recipient: Burlington County

Description: This funding supports an update to the Burlington County Joint Information Center. This investment will allow for real-time, multi-agency information coordination during emergencies.  

Brick OEM Building 

Amount Requested: $3,299,000

Intended Recipient: Brick Township

Description: This funding supports the construction of a new Office of Emergency Management (OEM) building on a barrier island to support fire, police, and EMS operations. This investment will improve emergency response times & coordination for residents and visitors. 

Upper Township Emergency Operations Center 

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Upper

Description: This funding will support the construction of a new state-of-the-art Public Safety Building in Upper Township. This investment will bring the existing facility into compliance with modern safety and operational standards while improving response times and establishing a unified command. 

Somerset County Emergency Operations Center Technology Modernization, Communications Resiliency, and Security Enhancement Initiative

Amount Requested: $1,350,000

Intended Recipient: County of Somerset

Description: The funding supports comprehensive technology modernization and infrastructure resiliency enhancements to the Somerset County Emergency Operations Center. This investment will provide technology upgrades, create a disaster recovery site, modernize communications & improve security infrastructure. 

South Broad Street Emergency Operations Center

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Intended Recipient: City of Trenton

Description: This funding supports the establishment of a modern Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in the City of Trenton. This investment will strengthen coordination with local, state, and federal partners, improve response to public health and climate-related emergencies & enhance equitable service delivery.Â
