Mercy Center Services Under One Roof for Mercy Corps 

Amount Requested: $1,650,000

Recipient: Mercy Center Corporation

Description: This project supports a renovation of a former retail space into a centralized community hub. This investment will house a Food Pantry, Family Resource Center offering mental health/counseling services, and a new community café, providing essential services under one roof.

New Passenger Boarding Bridge for Atlantic City Airport

Amount Requested: $1,900,000

Recipient: Atlantic City International Airport 

Description: This project supports the design and construction of a new passenger boarding bridge at Atlantic City International Airport. This investment will improve passenger experience & help draw more airlines to the airport. 

Pacific Avenue Streetscape Improvements for Atlantic City

Amount Requested: $1,740,000 

Recipient: City of Atlantic City

Description: This project will promote pedestrian safety by supporting streetscape improvements in the City of Atlantic City. These improvements will extend from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to South Carolina Avenue and will mitigate the risk of roadway-related accidents. 

Residence for Developmentally Disabled Adults for Ohel

Amount Requested: $1,500,000 

Recipient: Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services

Description: This project will create a residence for adults with disabilities. This investment provides appropriate and adequate housing for the developmentally disabled, especially developmentally disabled adults who need to be in a culturally sensitive and appropriate residence.

Brownfield Reclamation Project for Berlin Township

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Recipient: Township of Berlin

Description: This project supports the reclamation of a land parcel in a developed area and transform it into a multipurpose commuter facility. This investment will eliminate a source of blight, enhance the visual and economic vitality of the downtown Berlin area and support community transportation.

Lighting Installation for Little League Fields in Bridgeton City Park

Amount Requested: $514,000

Recipient: City of Bridgeton

Description: This project supports the installation of new & retrofitted lighting on Bridgeton’s Little League fields, which would extend the amount of available play and practice time for league participants. This investment enhances the city’s efforts to improve physical health outcomes for Bridgeton’s young residents.

Pathway Village Tiny Homes Housing Project for Burlington County

Amount Requested: $2,300,000

Recipient: Salt and Light Company

Description: This project supports Pathway Village an Initiative that works to eliminate homelessness through the construction of a Tiny Homes community. This investment will address community development needs stabilize lives of those vulnerable to homelessness.

Youth Center Site Redevelopment & Safety Infrastructure for LUCY

Amount Requested: $400,000

Recipient: LUCY Outreach A NJ Nonprofit Corporation

Description: This project supports the demolition of a structure and preparation for an outdoor youth programming space. This investment will reduce neighborhood blight, improve public safety, and strengthen access to supervised afterschool, mentoring, and crisis support services.

Expansion of Community Hub for Cathedral Kitchen

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Recipient: The Cathedral Soup Kitchen, Inc. 

Description: This project supports the expansion of a community hub in Camde. This investment will construct a 20,000-square-foot addition that will increase capacity to provide food, meals, job training and placement, and supportive services for thousands of low-income South Jersey residents.

Dell Road and Amor Avenue Improvements

Amount Requested: $1,866,000 

Recipient: Borough of Carlstadt

Description: This project will provide essential drainage and roadway surface improvements for two major roadways in Carlstadt’s industrial area. The roadway surface requires milling, resurfacing for the full pavement width, and partial reconstruction of Dell Road’s and Amor Avenue’s Right-of-Way.

Quality of Life Upgrades for the Chatham ECLC School

Amount Requested: $2,00,000

Recipient: Borough of Chatham

Description: This project supports the renovations of Chatham School ECLC. This investment will directly impact 150 disabled students and develop a foundation for expanded special education.

Improvements to Baird Ave. Recreation Area for Paulsboro

Amount Requested: $275,000

Recipient: Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc. (DBA Gateway Community Action Partnership)

Description: This project supports the upgrade and refurbishment of a recreation area in Paulsboro. This investment includes refurbishment of 3 basketball courts; a 1,000 square foot building for use as a rest room/concessions facility and construction of play areas.

Advanced Airspace Integration Testbed and Data Infrastructure

Amount Requested: $5,900,000 

Recipient: National Aerospace Research and Technology Park

Description: This project supports the establishment of an operational advanced airspace test bed at the National Aerospace Research and Technology Park in Egg Harbor Township. The testbed includes a sensorized airspace environment, secure networking, data architecture, and high-performance computing.

Construction of Low-Income Housing in Elizabeth

Amount Requested: $150,000

Recipient: Community Access Unlimited Inc.

Description: This project supports the construction of low income housing in Elizabeth. This investment will benefit low & moderate income persons as well as individuals with disabilities.

Engle Street Rehabilitation Project

Amount Requested: $2,152,000

Recipient: City of Englewood

Description: This project will relocate seven telephone poles underground and rehabilitate the sidewalks, curbing, culvert, and retaining wall on Engle Street in the City of Englewood. These repairs will ensure this heavily utilized roadway stays open for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Construction of Children’s Museum Literacy Center for Urban League of Essex County

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Recipient: Urban League of Essex County

Description: This project supports the construction of the Language Arts Center Children’s Museum in Newark. This investment will help address the literacy crisis in Newark and establish a community-based literacy hub offering academic support, family engagement, and workforce development for local youth. 

Blue Barn Facility Improvements for Evesham 

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Recipient: Township of Evesham

Description: This project supports the modernization and upgrade systems and spaces for the Blue Barn Facility in Evesham. This investment will ensure the Blue Barn remains a welcoming, efficient, and fully accessible recreational facility for the community. 

Route 130 Florence Columbus Road Intersection Improvements in Florence Township

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Recipient: New Jersey Department of Transportation is requesting for Burlington County

Description: This project will create a roundabout and upgrade the intersection at Route 130 and CR 656 in Florence Township, Burlington County. This investment will enhance safety by eliminating left turns at the intersection. 

Wilson Park Mini Pitches Project for Freehold Borough

Amount Requested: $500,000

Recipient: Borough of Freehold

Description: This project supports the construction of two multi-use mini pitch athletic courts at Wilson Park. This investment will expand recreational access in one of the most densely populated communities in Monmouth County.  

Purchase of a Senior Bus for Gloucester Township

Amount Requested: $379,000

Recipient: Township of Gloucester

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new senior transportation bus. This investment will include a 32-passenger vehicle which will provide a reliable transportation for seniors and other vulnerable members of the community.

Gloucester City Veterans Center 

Amount Requested: $375,000

Recipient: Glouster City Veterans Center Inc.

Description: This project supports provide housing for veterans and support services. This investment will meet the need of a vulnerable population of homeless veterans.

Regional Food Distribution Infrastructure Expansion For South Jersey Food Bank

Amount Requested: $285,000

Description: This project supports the purchase food distribution infrastructure to support Gloucester County Regional Distribution Organization. This investment will strengthen regional food supply chains, increase access to nutritious food & expand reach to underserved, rural communities.

Food Pantry Expansion for Township of Monroe

Amount Requested: $1,100,000

Recipient: Township of Monroe

Description: This project supports the construction of a 2,800-square-foot expansion of a food pantry in the Township of Monroe. This investment will help serve over 2,600 households annually, strengthen community infrastructure, and improve access to essential services for residents facing food insecurity.

River Street Pedestrian Bridge for Hackensack

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Recipient: City of Hackensack

Description: This project supports the construction of River Street Pedestrian Bridge in Hackensack. This investment will improve safety and connectivity between downtown Hackensack and the Hackensack Riverwalk.

Taxiway, Apron, and Hangar Improvements for Hammonton Municipal Airport

Amount Requested: $5,399,000

Recipient: Town of Hammonton

Description: This project supports the expansion of aircraft storage and operational space at Hammonton Municipal Airport. This investment include the construction of two new hangars, expansion of taxi lanes, eight new aircraft tie-down positions. These improvements represent a strategic investment that will enhance safety, increase operational efficiency.

Low-Income housing for veterans for Veterans Center of Hoboken

Description: TThis project supports the construction of affordable housing for homeless veterans. This investment will provide secure housing and other supportive services for low-income veterans.

Repairs to Early Childhood and Family Services Center for HOPES

Description: This project will support complete façade improvements at the Plainfield Early Childhood and Family Services Center. This investment will ensure safety for visitors and keep the infrastructure intact.

Reconstruct Elm Ridge Segment for Lawrence Hopewell Trail

Amount Requested:$1,158,000

Recipient: Township of Hopewell

Description: This project will reconstruct the Elm Ridge segment of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail, a shared-use path in Hopewell Township. Reconstruction will restore safe, accessible conditions, extend the path’s useful life, and preserve public access.

Affordable Housing Initiative for Hudson County

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Recipient: Hudson County, New Jersey

Description: This project supports the construction of a new housing tower at County Plaza in Jersey City. This investment will transform county-owned land that is underutilized into much-needed affordable housing in an area where supply is limited and rental costs are high. 

Holland Gardens Redevelopment Demo & new mixed-income housing for Jersey City

Amount Requested: $4,000,000

Recipient: Jersey City Redevelopment Agency

Description: This project supports the Demolition of Existing Public Housing and Construction of New Affordable, Workforce, and Market-Rate Units in Jersey City. This investment will involve the demolition of the existing dilapidated housing and the construction of new affordable rental apartments.

Affordable Housing Redevelopment of Grandview Apartments for Keansburg

Amount Requested: $3,500,000

Recipient: Affordable Housing Alliance, Inc.

Description: This project supports first phase of a multi-phase effort to fully replace severely deteriorated, flood-damaged affordable units. This investment meets the LMI National Objective through affordable housing construction in a CDBG-qualifying census block group. 

Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade Project for City of Linden

Amount Requested: $1,441,000

Recipient: City of Linden

Description: This project supports the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade Project designed to enhance arts, recreation, and public gathering spaces within Linden. The project will reimagine an existing outdoor area into a vibrant promenade that integrates artistic elements, improved pedestrian infrastructure. 

Campus to Equip High School Girls to Become Community Leaders for HomeWorks 

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Recipient: HomeWorks Trenton, Inc.

Description: This project supports the construction of a campus which will provide basic needs, academic support, housing stability, and leadership development. This investment will reduce neighborhood blight and aligning with local community development priorities.

Facility Modernization and Community Refuge Project for Union Fire Station

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Description: This project supports the rehabilitation of a firehouse in Titusville. This investment will bring the facility up to date with current construction and fire codes, add critical functionality for first responders, and ensure the facility can serve as a regional place of refuge during emergencies. 

Transitional Housing for Domestic Violence Survivors for Younity

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Recipient: Womanspace, Inc. DBA Younity 

Description: This funding supports the acquisition and renovation of a building to provide transitional housing for domestic violence survivors. This investment will include 10 apartments, with six one-bedroom and four two-bedroom units

Expanding PARTNER’s Home Repair and Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative in Perth Amboy

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Recipient: Perth Amboy Redevelopment Team for Neighborhood Enterprise and Revitalization

Description: This project supports renovations for a nonprofit’s Home Repair and Neighborhood Revitalization initiative in Perth Amboy. This investment will preserve affordable housing, promote housing stability, and improve health and safety outcomes for underserved residents across Perth Amboy.

Concept Development for Asbury Avenue (County Route 16) between State Route 35 and Ocean Avenue N.

Amount Requested: $1,100,000

Recipient: County Of Monmouth, New Jersey, Division of Engineering 

Description: This funding will support the County of Monmouth’s Concept Development of roadway improvements in the Townships of Ocean and Neptune and the City of Asbury Park. The investment will address safety concerns along Asbury Avenue between State Highway 35 and Ocean Avenue North. 

Wesley Lake Pedestrian Bridge Improvements Phase II for Neptune Township

Amount Requested: $3,414,000

Description: This project supports the rehabilitation of pedestrian bridges connecting Neptune Township and the City of Asbury Park. This investment will enhance public safety, improve accessibility, and preserve a vital transportation link used daily by residents and visitors.

Accessibility Improvements for Veteran Homes and Community Facilities in New Jersey

Amount Requested: $225,000

Recipient: Homes for Veterans A NJ Nonprofit Corporation 

Description: This project supports residential accessibility projects for disabled veterans in New Jersey and two accessibility improvement projects at several Veteran Service Organizations. These investments will remove barriers to safe daily living and strengthen veteran serving community infrastructure.

New Jersey Acceleration Alliance to Build Communities for LISC NJ

Description: This project supports the expansion of affordable housing development by providing early stage acquisition & predevelopment capital to mission driven, community & faith based developers in New Jersey’s most underserved communities. United Community Center in Newark

Description: This project supports the renovation of a building in Newark to create a centralized hub where low-income Newark residents can access multiple services in one location.

Downtown Commercial Corridor Revitalization Initiative for City of Newark

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Description: This project supports the rehabilitation of deteriorating commercial buildings & improve public infrastructure along the Broad & Market Street corridor. This investment addresses deferred maintenance & enhances the pedestrian experience for thousands of daily transit users in Newark’s downtown core. 

Renovation and Expansion of Lafayette Community Center for Ironbound Community Corporation

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Description: This project supports the renovation and expansion of the Lafayette Community Center in Newark. This investment will increase service capacity for thousands of residents annually, strengthen workforce readiness, and support local economic activity.

Glotzbach Park Bandshell Project for Nutley

Description: This project supports the construction of a bandshell and outdoor cultural venue at Glozbach Park in Nutley. This investment will provide free, accessible recreational and cultural opportunities for residents, including low- and moderate-income populations, while enhancing community infrastructure.

Purchase of Senior Transportation Vehicle for Ocean Township

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new transportation vehicle for Ocean Township. This investment will remove transportation barriers for the township’s senior population.

Critical Home Repair Program for Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity

Washington Manor RAD Conversion & Rehabilitation for City of Orange

Amount Requested: $2,100,000

Description: This project supports the conversion of a property through HUD’s RAD program & complete upgrades to building systems, accessibility & energy efficiency. This investment will preserve deeply affordable housing for low-income seniors while improving safety, sustainability & long-term viability. 

Christopher Columbus Indoor Facility Renovation Project for Passaic

Amount Requested: $4,000,000

Description: This project supports the Christopher Columbus Indoor Facility Renovation Project in Passaic. This investment includes upgrades to HVAC and floor replacement to ensure the facility is safe, functional, and adaptable to the community’s needs.

South Main Renovation Project for Northwest Jersey Community Action Program Inc.

Amount Requested: $1,200,000

Recipient: Northwest New Jersey Community Action Program Inc. 

Description: This project supports the renovation of an under-utilized building in one of the
most distressed areas of town. This investment will also catalyze revitalization of South Main Street through monthly cultural/culinary events, affordable housing, job trainings and certification opportunities.

Renovation of the Community Hub for the Care Center of New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Description: This project supports the renovation and expansion of the Care Center of New Jersey. The project will strengthen pathways to employment and economic stability for underserved residents.

Youth Center Project for Roselle

Amount Requested: $2,505,000

Description: This project supports the building of a Roselle Youth Center. This investment will provide a safe haven, social skills programs, educational and recreational activities for young people that will empower them to play a role in their development and promote civic action. 

Affordable Homeownership Project for Morris Habitat for Humanity

Amount Requested: $3,700,000

Recipient: Morris Habitat for Humanity (aka Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity)

Description: This project will support the development of new affordable homeownership units for low- and moderate-income families in Morris County. The requested federal funding will support site preparation, infrastructure, and construction necessary to deliver affordable housing. 

Office and Community Hub for Stand Up for Salem

Amount Requested: $750,000

Recipient: Stand Up for Salem

Description: This project supports the acquisition of a long vacant Main Street storefront & transform it into a community resource center. This investment will anchor revitalization in Salem City’s downtown & expand program capacity to improve access for low and moderate income households.

Community Food Hub for Frankin Food Bank

Recipient: Franklin Food Bank

Description: This project supports the expansion of space for the Franklin Food Bank for Franklin Cares. This additional space will allow for additional community support and allow to serve more with vital resources. 

Food Storage Project for Somerset County

Amount Requested: $23,000

Description: This funding supports the purchase of a food locker unit. This investment will be utilized by the partner food pantries to better distribute donations. 

Montgomery Township Public Works Operations Facility

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Recipient: Montgomery Township

Description: This project supports the development of a new Public Works Operations Facility in Montgomery Township. These improvements will improve the township’s ability to maintain roads, respond to emergencies, and deliver essential services to all residents. 

Renovation for Plainfield YMCA Community Center

Amount Requested: $3,500,000

Recipient: Somerset County Young Men’s Christian Association, Inc.

Description: This project supports a renovation of a YMCA Community Center in Plainfield. This investment will create a welcoming hub where residents of all ages can access programs & services that promote health, safety, and connection.

Senior Center Improvement Project for South Brunswick

Amount Requested: $2,490,000

Recipient: Township of South Brunswick

Description: This project supports facility upgrades to the South Brunswick Senior Center. These improvements include ADA improvements, special improvements to allow for more community events and reconstruction of the parking lot.

Security and Fire Suppression Systems for HABcore’s Homeless Shelter Project in Ocean County

Amount Requested: $500,000

Recipient: HABcore Inc.

Description: HABcore seeks funding to install a comprehensive security system and upgraded fire alarm and suppression systems at the Pelican Inn Emergency Shelter Project in Toms River, a key part of Ocean County’s first dedicated homeless shelter system. These improvements address immediate health and safety risks for vulnerable residents while enhancing coordination with local law enforcement and fire services to support timely response and prevention of crime and fire hazards. This investment aligns with Congress’s intent by addressing urgent community development needs and strengthening public safety in a high-need area with limited alternatives. 

Trenton Entrepreneurship and Small Business Institute for Rider University

Amount Requested: $3,800,000

Description: The project would establish a business incubator in Trenton, featuring Rider University undergraduate and graduate students as consultants and technical advisers to entrepreneurs and small business owners.  

Roof Replacement for Children’s Home Society of NJ

Amount Requested: $1,341,000

Recipient: Children’s Home Society of NJ

Description: This project supports the replacement of a roof for the Children’s Home Society of NJ’s main office in Trenton. This investment will ensure staff and clients are able to provide and receive services in a healthy and safe environment. 

Construction of a permanent facility for Trenton Youth Wrestling and Learning Center

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Recipient: Trenton Youth Wrestling and Learning Center

Description: This project supports the acquisition, construction, and build-out of a 28,500 square foot 2.1 acre permanent state of the art facility in Trenton. This investment will expand access to year-round academic development, athletic, and mentoring programming for underserved youth.

Redevelopment Project to House Homeless & At-Risk Veterans for Westfield NJ Veterans Organization

Amount Requested: $1,369,000

Recipient: Westfield NJ Veterans Organization

Description: This project supports the redevelopment of the Martin Wallberg American Legion Post 3 into a mixed-use facility providing 22 units of supportive housing for low & moderate-income veterans. This investment addresses veteran homelessness by delivering stable housing & integrated supportive services. 

Trades Workforce Training Center in Wall

Amount Requested: $2,090,000

Recipient: Brookdale Community College

Description: This project supports a new Trades Workforce Training Center in Wall. This investment provides non-credit, workforce training programs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction trades, and Brookdale’s non-credit culinary arts program. 

The Timbuctoo Historic Site Heritage & Community Infrastructure Project in Westampton Township

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Recipient: Township of Westampton

Description: This project supports construction of a community education center and ADA improvements at Timbuctoo Historic Site. These investments will transform this site into a functional community hub for research and education.
