Community Health Center Equipment Improvements in Monmouth County 

Amount Requested: $500,000 

Recipient: Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey 

Description: This project supports the acquisition of equipment for infectious disease, pediatric, family medicine, specialty medicine, dental, and in-house pharmacy equipment. This investment will improve patient outcomes and care at all of Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey’s FQHCs. 

Equipment Upgrades for The Valley Hospital’s Breast Center in Bergen County 

Amount Requested: $2,796,000 

Recipient: Valley Health System 

Description: This project supports the replacement of mammography equipment at The Valley Hospital’s Breast Center. This investment will enhance diagnostic accuracy, patient comfort, and accessibility while helping the hospital meet updated federal mammography standards. 

Healthcare Workforce Capacity-Building Initiative for Ramapo College 

Amount Requested: $544,000 

Recipient: Ramapo College of New Jersey 

Description: This funding supports the establishment of  short-term certificate programs that deliver hands-on workforce training for high-demand healthcare roles at Ramapo College. This investment will expand job opportunities for NJ residents and also help employers meet critical workforce needs. 

CHORE Program for Bergen Volunteers 

Amount Requested: $147,000 

Recipient: Volunteer Center of Bergen County, Inc. (Bergen Volunteers) 

Description: This project supports the expansion of the CHORE program for Bergen Volunteers. This investment will allow volunteers to travel the county completing free home-repairs, averaging 60 visits weekly. This support helps vulnerable older adults remain safe at home and reduces fall-related risks. 

HealthXHumanics Innovation Hub for Fairleigh Dickinson University 

Amount Requested: $893,000 

Recipient: Fairleigh Dickinson University 

Description: This project supports the establishment of the HealthXHumanics Innovation Hub at Fairleigh Dickinson University. This investment will expand workforce-aligned education to address NJ’s critical healthcare workforce shortages while preparing graduates for team-based, technology-enabled care delivery. 

Medical Research Campus Core Facilities Labs for Coriell Institute 

Amount Requested: $5,337,000 

Recipient: Coriell Institute for Medical Research Inc. 

Description: This project supports the construction of a new multi-building biomedical research campus in Camden. This investment will offer cutting-edge instrumentation, assay development, cell imaging and other technology to meet the evolving needs of Coriell scientists and its incubated biotech companies. 

AI and STEM Workforce Development in South Jersey 

Amount Requested: $742,000 

Recipient: Rutgers University-Camden 

Description: This project supports an AI and STEM Workforce Development program for Rutgers University–Camden. This investment will unite the National AI Campus initiative with community-based education programs, university research & industry collaboration. 

Veteran Suicide Prevention and PTSD Support Initiative at the Rouh Center in Camden County 

Amount Requested: $400,000

Description: This project supports veteran Suicide Prevention & PTSD Support Initiative in Camden County. This investment will increase community-based access to trauma-informed care & suicide prevention services, specifically targeting veterans who are not utilizing traditional VA institutional channels. 

Nursing Education Technology Upgrades for Rutgers University–Camden 

Amount Requested: $650,000 

Recipient: Rutgers University-Camden 

Description: This funding supports the modernization and expansion of the technological infrastructure at the Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden. This investment will enhance simulation, virtual learning, and AI-enabled training capabilities. 

Training birthworkers for Perinatal Health Equity Foundation 

Amount Requested: $350,000 

Recipient: Perinatal Health Equity Foundation, INC. 

Description: This project supports a nurse-led birthworker workforce development program for the Perinatal Health Equity Foundation. This investment will build a credentialed, community-rooted workforce capable of serving approximately 4,500 families in medically underserved areas. 

Summer Arts Institute for Institute of Music For Children

Description: This funding supports the Summer Art Institute which provides an arts immersion program for ages 6-18 in more than 30 art forms. This investment also offers peer mentorship, trips and community-oriented programming. 

Stronger Communities Initiative for the Metro YMCA’s 

Amount Requested: $400,000  

Recipient: Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges 

Description: This project supports the expansion of Stronger Communities Initiative which provides access to community-based services, strengthens the behavioral health workforce, & emphasizes prevention. This investment supports equitable, integrated mental healthcare in an underserved community. 

Advanced Nursing Practice for Caldwell University Center 

Amount Requested: $876,000 

Recipient: Caldwell University  

Description: This funding supports the development of a nursing simulation laboratory at Caldwell University. This investment will improve training opportunities for both students but the laboratory will also be open to community partners to provide continuing education and training. 

Artificial Intelligence Education Partnership for New Jersey High Schools for NJIT 

Amount Requested: $811,000  

Recipient: New Jersey Institute of Technology  

Description: This funding supports a program to expand access to high-quality artificial intelligence (AI) education across the state. This investment will support high school teachers statewide, who collectively reach more than 3,000 students annually in their classrooms. 

Big Futures Through Workforce Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties 

Amount Requested: $1,200,000 

Recipient: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties, NJ 

Description: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties requests $1.2M to pilot, evaluate, and bring to scale a new corporate youth-mentoring model. This program will support WIOA-eligible youth, 14-24, with inschool and out-of-school career mentoring through a variety of business partnerships. 

Hybrid Operating Room Technology for University Hospital–Newark 

Amount Requested: $2,735,000  

Recipient: University Hospital Newark   

Description: This project supports a hybrid operating room for University Hospital in Newark. This investment will allow surgeons to perform imaging, biopsy, diagnosis, and surgery all in the same space, eliminating the need to move patients between imaging suites and operating rooms. 

STEM and Biomedical Education and Workforce Training for Seton Hall University

Amount Requested: $1,595,000   

Recipient: Seton Hall University 

Description: This project supports the enhancement of immersive STEM, biomedical & healthcare education using virtual reality (VR) technology. This investment will strengthen hands-on learning, interdisciplinary healthcare training by enabling students to visualize complex biological systems & scientific data. 

Bergen County Community Health Workforce Development Initiative 

Amount Requested: $250,000 

Recipient: Korean Community Services of Metropolitan NY, Inc.  

Description: This project supports the establishment of the Bergen County Community Health Worker Training Initiative. This investment will recruit and train residents to serve as Community Health Workers supporting underserved communities. 

Renovations for Medina Health Center 

Amount Requested: $500,000 

Recipient: Medina Health Center  

Description: This project supports the addition of a Medina Health Center in Hamilton. This investment will expand services to underserved populations outside of the Trenton area. 

Hunterdon County Rural Health Access and Care Coordination Project 

Amount Requested: $500,000  

Recipient: United Way of Hunterdon County  

Description: This project supports the establishment of an integrated rural health and wellness access system in Hunterdon County. This investment advances federal priorities to strengthen rural healthcare infrastructure, improve overall health outcomes & reduce reliance on costly emergency services. 

Nursing Training Facilities and Equipment for Saint Peter’s University 

Amount Requested: $1,102,000 

Recipient: Saint Peter’s University, A New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation 

Description: This funding supports the build and outfitting of a training facility for nursing & other healthcare students at St. Peter’s University in Jersey City. This investment would include a digital anatomy lab and improve enhanced decision-making and patient outcomes. 

Community STEAM Workforce & Behavioral Resilience Program In Jersey City 

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Description: This project supports an evidence-based community STEAM workforce and behavioral resilience initiative. This investment expand access to technology, training education, career pathway development to address workforce gaps, educational inequities and reduce justice system involvement. 

Guardianship & Transition Support Program for Families of Individuals with Disabilities

Recipient: Guiding Hands Guardianship Services 

Description: This project supports an expansion of a community-based program providing guardianship education, transition planning and services for families with individuals with disabilities. This investment will improve access to essential services, promote independence and strengthen community integration. 

IT Systems Updates for Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers

Description: This project supports IT and systems update for Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers serving Southern NJ. This investment will enable the seamless, real-time exchange of patient data, leading to better clinical outcomes, enhanced patient safety, and increased operational efficiency. 

Community Camp for Hamilton Area YMCA 

Amount Requested: $850,000  

Recipient: Hamilton Area Young Men’s Christian Association (Hamilton Area YMCA)   

Description: This project supports the expansion of Hamilton Area YMCA’s Community Camp to include more Title I neighborhoods. This investment will strengthen instructional staffing, curriculum, & materials to scale a results-driven program that prepares students for long-term academic success. 

CREATENJ Expansion for Thomas Edison University 

Amount Requested: $1,580,000

Description: This project supports the NJ Workforce Transcript, a portable digital record of knowledge & abilities recognized by employers & higher education. This investment will build degree & job matching tools to serve over 700,000 New Jerseyans while offering a scalable model for workforce modernization nationwide. 

Dreamers & Believers Program Expansion for Direct Support to Youth in and Impacted by Foster Care 

Amount Requested: $120,000

Description: This funding will expand the Dreamers & Believers program to serve youth in foster care and those who have achieved permanency, providing direct support for activities and essential items that build confidence, encourage learning, and promote a sense of belonging.

Description: This project supports the acquisition of nursing simulation equipment for Monmouth University. This investment will enable the University to strengthen the nursing workforce by increasing training opportunities for nursing students. 

Academic Enrichment Programs for STEAMpark

Recipient: STEAMpark Inc 

Description: This project supports the expansion of STEAMpark’s Academic Enrichment Program. This investment expands services to additional schools in Mercer County, Ocean County and reestablish programming in Hudson County.  

Registered Nurse Case Manager for Homebound Adults in Monmouth County 

Amount Requested: $200,000  

Recipient: Family and Children’s Service Inc. of Monmouth 

Description: This project supports a Registered Nurse Case Manager that will provide formal care coordination for low-income, vulnerable older adults and individuals with disabilities. This investment will address barriers to care and navigation of complex medical systems.  

Agricultural vocational program for IDD in Monmouth County 

Amount Requested: $100,000  

Recipient: The Special Children’s Center  

Description: This request will fund hydroponics equipment, a necessary component to provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities structured, hands-on vocational training. The equipment enables in-house employment, skill development, and long-term economic independence.  

Remodeling Early Childhood Education for Foundation for Educational Administration 

Amount Requested: $494,000 

Recipient: Foundation for Educational Administration 

Description: This project supports professional learning and coaching for PreK–3 school leaders, teachers, and paraprofessionals to strengthen early childhood education across New Jersey. This investment will improve early literacy, numeracy, and social development outcomes for young children. 

Advanced Neuro-Recovery and Mobility Program Expansion at Push to Walk in Montvale, New Jersey 

Amount Requested: $678,000

Description: This project supports an expansion to the Advanced Neuro-Recovery and Mobility program at Push to Walk in Montvale. This investment will improve health equity and expand access to high-quality, community-based rehabilitative care for individuals with disabilities. 

Regional Industry Skills Expansion for County College of Morris 

Amount Requested: $1,344,000 

Recipient: County College of Morris 

Description: This funding supports the creation of CCM RISE, an initiative to increase capacity and expand the Advanced Manufacturing, HVAC, and Welding workforce training at County College of Morris. This investment would strengthen workforce pipelines & deliver an immediate economic benefit to New Jersey. 

Improvement Project for Eric B. Chandler Health Center Facility

Description: This funding will support the modernization of clinical equipment at the Eric B. Chandler Health Center in New Brunswick. This investment will improve patient outcomes and deliver efficient healthcare for an underserved population. 

New Jersey Nursing Home Caregiver & Family Resource Center 

Amount Requested: $299,000 

Recipient: Long Term Care Community Coalition 

Description: This funding supports the development of a New Jersey Nursing Home Caregiver & Family Resource Center. This investment will provide families, caregivers, and community stakeholders with an online platform providing accessible data, practical tools, and education on nursing home care.

New Jersey Reading Is Fundamental Children’s Literacy Initiative

Description: This project supports a statewide literacy initiative. This investment will expand equitable access to high-quality print and digital books, while strengthening educator support and family engagement to increase reading motivation and proficiency among students in high-need communities.   

Empowering Youth in Foster Care Through Education and Career Pathways for the Age-Out Angels Foundation 

Amount Requested: $263,000 

Recipient: The Age-Out Angels Foundation 

Description: This funding supports the expansion of the Bridges to Employment program from a pilot program to a statewide initiative. This investment prepares NJ youth, (ages 16-24) who are or have been in foster care, for education, employment, and ultimately independence.  

PFANJ Peer Support 

Amount Requested: $450,000  

Recipient: Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey “PFANJ” 

Description: This funding would establish a firefighter peer support program to reduce suicide risk among first responders. This investment includes trained peer counselors, proactive firehouse outreach, confidential support access, and professional clinical oversight.  

Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Initiative for L.E.A.D. 

Amount Requested: $3,000,000  

Recipient: L.E.A.D. – Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence   

Description: This project supports an expansion of evidence-based drug, alcohol, and violence prevention programming across New Jersey. This investment will support the training of officers and educators to deliver the widely researched Botvin LifeSkills Training curriculum, reaching approximately 100,000 students.  

Statewide Technical Educational Program

Amount Requested: $500,000 

Recipient: Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ 

Description: This project expands the workforce and business development services that accelerate the growth of New Jersey’s rapidly expanding minority‑owned business sector. This investment addresses long‑standing barriers faced by minority business owners.   

ALICE Early Learning Affordability Program for North Jersey United Way, Inc. 

Amount Requested: $546,000 

Recipient: United Way of Northern New Jersey, Inc. 

Description: This project supports the ALICE Early Learning Affordability Program which will provide early childhood education and care for ALICE families throughout NJ. This investment will ensure more ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) parents and caregivers can stay in New Jersey’s workforce.  

Outpatient Therapy for Disadvantaged Children for TheraYouth 

Amount Requested: $142,000 

Recipient: TheraYouth Foundation 

Description: This project will provide affordable, one-on-one speech, occupational, and physical therapy to children from low-income families. This investment will remove barriers to care during critical developmental years, we help children build the communication, mobility, and independence they need to thrive.

Description: This project supports the Whole Life Solution program for the JoyDew Foundation. This investment will create employment opportunities, reduce long-term Medicaid dependency and strengthen New Jersey’s workforce.   

Expansion of K-12 Unified School programming for NJ Special Olympics

Description: This project supports the expansion of the Unified Champion Schools Program through NJ Special Olympics. This investment is designed to bring together students with and without disabilities, fostering an environment where meaningful and intentional interactions can occur. 

Treatment Facilities Upgrades for Integrity House 

Amount Requested: $2,750,000 

Recipient: Integrity, Inc.   

Description: This project supports the comprehensive renovation of 101 Lincoln Park facility in Newark. This investment will ensure essential operations for those receiving residential services, in addition to serving over 2,000 people through its community outreach programs in the city. 

E-Commerce Workforce Development Initiative for NJ Rising Stars 

Amount Requested: $500,000 

Recipient: NJ Rising Stars Inc.  

Description: This program supports the NJ Rising Stars E-Commerce Workforce Development Initiative providing skills training & work-based learning for low-income, unemployed & underemployed constituents. This investment will prepare participants for high-demand roles in logistics, warehousing & customer service. 

Pathways to Partnerships for Ocean County College 

Amount Requested: $1,103,000  

Recipient: Ocean County College   

Description: This project supports Pathways to Partnerships, an evidence-based career pathway model. This investment will increase the supply of nurses, social workers, teachers & advanced manufacturing technicians to strengthen opportunities for New Jersey working families.  

Nursing Simulation Lab Equipment for Georgian Court University 

Amount Requested: $437,000 

Recipient: Georgian Court University  

Description: This project supports the acquisition of simulation equipment for the Georgian Court University School of Nursing. This investment will enhance the education of more than 4,500 GCU nursing students, most of whom will live and work in New Jersey, over the equipment’s 10-year lifespan.  

Homeless Intake and Stabilization Pilot in Passaic County 

Amount Requested: $1,200,000 

Recipient: Evas Village, Inc. 

Description: This project supports the implementation of a Homeless Intake and Stabilization Pilot in Passaic County. This investment advances federal priorities in public health, cost reduction, and efficient service delivery.   

Workforce Training Program Expansion for Oasis 

Amount Requested: $340,000  

Recipient: Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children   

Description: This project supports the expansion of the Workforce Development Program at Oasis in Paterson. This investment will investment reduces barriers to workforce participation and creates pathways to employment and long-term economic stability for women in the workforce. 

Access to DreamLab Skill Building Programs 

Amount Requested: $650,000  

Recipient: Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey    

Description: This funding expands access to the DreamLab in Paramus for Girls Scouts from under-resourced communities across New Jersey. This investment expands equitable access to future ready learning and prepares girls to contribute to New Jersey’s workforce and communities.  

Healthcare and AI Career Pathways Workforce Training Program for HW Foundation 

Amount Requested: $500,000

Description: This project supports the statewide establishment of the New Jersey Healthcare and AI Career Pathways Workforce Training Program. This investment will support development of a scalable workforce training infrastructure, including curriculum, digital learning modules and employer partnerships.  

Building the Future of Film: A Virtual Studio for Workforce Development in Sussex County 

Amount Requested: $625,000 

Recipient: Sussex County Community College   

Description: This project supports the development of a virtual film studio at Sussex County Community College. This investment will provide cutting-edge opportunities for students while driving workforce development for the emerging NJ film industry. 

Emergency Department Expansion and Modernization for Holy Name Medical Center 

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Description: This project supports the expansion and modernization of the Emergency Department for Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck. This investment will strengthen local healthcare infrastructure, advance health equity & ensure reliable access to essential services for vulnerable and underserved populations.   

Culturally Responsive Food & Nutrition Initiative 

Amount Requested: $480,000 

Recipient: Community Compass, Inc.   

Description: This project supports the expansion of the Culturally Responsive Food & Nutrition Initiative through Community Compass, Inc. This investment will strengthen food security, improve nutrition literacy & help reduce the long-term risk of diet-related chronic diseases in our communities.  

Staffing for Bridgeway Integrated Behavioral Health Services 

Amount Requested: $589,000

Description: This funding supports an integrated behavioral health center, blending mental health and substance use services. This investment will provide walk-in access to services for therapy, prescription medications and case management services for a diverse and underserved community.   

Pharmacy Renovations Project for North Hudson Community Action Corporation

Description: This project supports a pharmacy relocation and conversation for North Hudson Community Action Corporation. This investment will strengthen chronic disease management and reduce preventable emergency care utilization. 

Cybersecurity and Homeland Security Innovation Center for Kean University 

Amount Requested: $1,125,000  

Recipient: Kean University 

Description: This project supports the creation of a Cybersecurity & Homeland Security Innovation Center at Kean University. This investment will engage businesses and start-ups in education & training to address emerging cybersecurity & homeland security needs while providing a cybersecurity workforce pipeline.  

Success Center and Employment Program for United Way of Greater Union County

Recipient: United Way of Greater Union County 

Description: This project supports the expansion of a Success Center/Employment Program, advancing economic mobility and workforce access across Union County and North and South Plainfield. This investment addresses barriers to employment and expands equitable access to opportunity.   

Workforce & Trades Career Pathways Initiative for Urban League of Union County 

Amount Requested: $700,000 

Recipient: Urban League of Union County 

Description: This project expands workforce development training and career placement services for unemployed and underemployed residents in New Jersey. The initiative prepares participants for careers in technology support, broadband infrastructure, and other high-demand sectors through training, career coaching, and employer placement partnerships.  

Universal Health Professions Laboratory Initiative for Centenary University 

Amount Requested: $1,055,000

Description: Seeking grant support to secure funding for a multidisciplinary Universal Health Professions Laboratory to serve students in Nursing, Health Science, Exercise Science, and Emergency Medical Technician programs. This facility will strengthen workforce readiness in healthcare.Â
