JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Today, Senator Andy Kim released the following statement on Government-Elect Mikie Sherrill’s choice to nominate Jennifer Davenport to be the next New Jersey Attorney General: 

“I’m encouraged by the nomination of Jennifer Davenport as the next NJ Attorney General. She brings serious experience and a dedication to public service that is much needed. I appreciated her focus on keeping our kids safe while fighting for affordability for our families. I look forward to sitting down with her and talking through what we can work on to prioritize combating corruption and stand up to the lawlessness of the Trump Administration. I will also work to maintain the Attorney General’s power and independence, including over the State Police.”
