JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Today, Senator Andy Kim(D-NJ) announced his office will be partnering with local elected officials and community partners to hold a community resource fair in Salem City on January 24th. This resource fair will provide real-time, on the ground support for Salem residents and those in the surrounding area to get the assistance they need.
“Too many across our state don’t have enough to eat and are going cold because they don’t have resources needed to just get through the week; no one in New Jersey should have to live like this.” said Senator Andy Kim. “My office is excited to work with local leaders and partners to bring assistance directly to those in Salem so they can get the support they need in real time to live a life with dignity.”
“Too often, people hear about help but can’t actually access it in the moment,” said Mayor Jody Veler of Salem.“This resource fair is different—residents won’t just get brochures or phone numbers. They’ll be able to connect with providers on-site and receive direct services right here in Salem. If you or someone you love needs support, please come out. We’re bringing real help, in real time, to the people who need it.”
