Constituent Services Representative/ Caseworker
Senator Andy Kim seeks a Constituent Services Representative/Caseworker to help resolve issues with federal agencies on behalf of constituents. The Constituent Services Representative/Caseworker assesses problems and finds solutions in a professional manner, screens and refers cases, as appropriate, and represents the Senator and the office.
This is a hybrid position with some in-person work required out of our Barrington, NJ office.
Stars of Valor Fellow
The U.S. Senate Stars of Valor Fellowship Program is a 2-year paid program for eligible wounded or disabled veterans, Active-Duty military spouses, and Gold Star family members.

D.C. and New Jersey Internships
We are excited to offer a select number of internship opportunities available in Senator Kim’s Jersey City, Barrington, and Washington, D.C. offices for current and recent graduates from accredited institutions. Applicants must have at least one year of college courses completed to be eligible.
Internships are available during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. This program is designed to enhance participation in public service for the people of New Jersey and to learn first-hand how Congress works.Â
Please note that applicants are limited to one internship program per session. You may not apply to a Washington, DC and New Jersey internship within the same application period.
Internships in Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. legislative interns will have the opportunity to observe the day-to-day operations of the United States Senate. Interns will be exposed to a fast paced and dynamic environment. Duties may include general administrative tasks, such as answering phones and processing incoming mail and email, as well as attending committee hearings and legislative briefings, providing tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting New Jerseyans, drafting memos and letters on specific policy items, conducting research, and other duties as assigned.Â
The Office of Senator Andy Kim will take one communications/media intern in the Washington D.C. office. Duties may include but are not limited to designing graphics for the Senator’s social media, attending events with the Senator to take and edit photos and videos, compiling and sending morning press clips, and organizing the office press list. Students with a background or interest in digital media, film, communications, and/or journalism should apply. The ideal candidate will be a strong, succinct writer and have experience with graphic design (Canva and Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus); video editing and captioning skills are preferred but not necessary.Â
Internships in New Jersey
Jersey City and Barrington interns assist our state team with a broad range of constituent-focused tasks. In addition to general office duties, such as answering phones and processing incoming mail and email, interns will also accompany staff to local community events, draft memos for events, track constituent opinions on various issues, and conduct research. New Jersey state interns will gain first-hand familiarity with how elected officials help constituents navigate issues with federal agencies and will experience how legislative activities impact the lives of people in their communities.Â

If you wish to be considered for an internship in Senator Kim’s office, your application must be completed and submitted by the deadline. Applicants from anywhere can apply; however, preference is given to candidates with New Jersey ties.
Applications are now open for our 2026 Summer Internship Program in DC and NJ. The program runs from Monday, June 1 to Friday, August 14, 2026. Applications are due Friday, March 20, 2026.
