Description: This project supports the construction of a PFAS/PFOA treatment system to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s drinking water standards. This will ensure the provision of healthy and safe drinking water for Oakland’s residents, businesses, and restaurant patrons.

Description: This project supports the installation of an advanced PFAS treatment systems at multiple municipal wells to ensure compliance with federal and state drinking water standards. This project will protect public health, strengthen critical water infrastructure, and ensure a safe, reliable drinking water supply for more than 26,000 residents and nearby regions.

Description: This project supports the construction of PFAS treatment facilities at active municipal drinking water wells in the Borough of Ramsey. This investment ensures continued access to safe, reliable drinking water for more than 30,000 residents while preserving critical local water infrastructure.

Description: This project supports a PFAS Water Treatment plant for the Borough of Pennington. This investment will improve the water quality and long-term health benefits for residents.

Description: This project supports two resiliency improvements at the City of Asbury Park wastewater treatment plant: elevating an existing transformer to protect it from revised flood elevations and replacing three severely damaged influent pumps to maintain reliable wastewater conveyance during storm events. 

Sea Isle City for Stormwater Pumping Station

Amount Requested: $4,000,000

Intended Recipient: City of Sea Isle City

Description: This project supports critical flood mitigation infrastructure throughout Sea Isle City. The funding will support the construction of a stormwater pump station to alleviate tidal and storm flooding in the area of Sea Isle City bounded by 30th and 38th Street, the bay, and Pleasure Avenue along the beachfront. 

Watchung Lakes Dredging Project 

Amount Requested: $5,711,000

Intended Recipient: Borouogh of Watchung

Description: This project supports the full depth dredging of Watchung Lake and Best Lake, to the depth that existed prior to the accumulation of sediment within the lakes. This investment will enable the lakes to serve as natural catch basins for stormwater and regulate flooding in low-lying municipalities. 

Montgomery Township: Cherry Valley to Skillman Village Wastewater Treatment Plant Consolidation 

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Intended Recipient: Montgomery Township

Description: This project supports the consolidation of the aging Cherry Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant into the modern Skillman Village facility in Montgomery Township. This project will eliminate outdated infrastructure, improve water quality in the Millstone River watershed & ensure regulatory compliance. 

Park Ridge Mill Pond Dredging and Ecological Restoration Phase II 

Amount Requested: $5,000,000 

Intended Recipient: Borough of Park Ridge

Description: This project supports the dredging of Park Ridge Mill Pond in the Borough of Park Ridge. This investment will reduce stagnant water & mosquito breeding conditions. It will also help protect downstream drinking water resources, including Pascack Brook and the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir. 

Millburn Township Strategic Wildfire Mitigation and Response Plan Project

Description: This project supports a wildfire mitigation study in the Township of Millburn. This project will increase the safety of residents, first responders, and surrounding communities.

Description: This project supports the modernization of the stormwater management system for the Township of East Windsor. These investments in system maintenance will improve stormwater quality, protecting environmental conditions and residents’ health.

Description: This project will address severe erosion, improve water quality, and protect critical infrastructure. This investment builds will enhance watershed resilience, reduce pollutant loading, and mitigate environmental and public health risks.

Description: This project supports the replacement of Well No. 3 located on 31st Avenue at Winchester Avenue in the Borough of Longport. This investment will resolve several deficiencies that could lead to well failure.

Description: This project constructs a new pump station to replace an aging, failing facility that currently conveys wastewater from approximately half of Newton’s collection system. This investment will deliver a modern facility with upgraded equipment & controls which will improve system reliability.

Description: This project supports the improvement of the drainage capacity of stormwater on Queen Anne Road for the Township of Teaneck. These improvements will reduce the risk of flooding and exposure of polluted stormwater runoff into residential areas.

Description: This project will rehabilitate and upgrade the Union Court Sanitary Sewer Pump Station, a critical wastewater infrastructure asset serving residents. This project will improve system reliability, prevent sanitary sewer overflows, and protect water quality in the Borough of Wanaque.
