Rural Hospital Modernization Project for Salem County 

Amount Requested: $1,474,000

Intended Recipient: Inspira Health Network

Description: This project strengthens & modernizes critical healthcare infrastructure across Inspira Medical Center Mannington & Inspira Medical Center Elmer in Salem County. This project enhances clinical outcomes & patient safety by upgrading telemetry, monitoring, & clinical communication systems to support early detection.

Structure Improvements for the Arc of Cape May County’s Day Habilitation in Cape May Court House

Amount Requested: $825,000

Intended Recipient: The Arc of Cape May County

Description: This project supports the structural improvement of a 5,000-square-foot day habilitation facility providing life-skills training & social integration services for individuals with disabilities. This investment will serve as a regional anchor for disability services in Cape May County.

Air Handling Unit Replacement at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills

Amount Requested: $660,000

Intended Recipient: Deborah Heart and Lung Center

Description: This project supports the replacement of 4 Air Handling Units for Deborah Heart and Lung in Browns Mills. This project will improve the provision of patient care and outcomes, and employee health by controlling the spread of airborne infection in key areas of the hospital campus.

Hurricane Irene Recovery and Hall Acquisition Project for Borough of Hightstown 

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Hightstown

Description: This project supports the acquisition of a permanent building for a municipal building in the Borough of Hightstown. If funded, the Borough would gain a permanent, functional home for local government services.

Hardyston Township Community & Wellness Center

Amount Requested: $975,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Hardyston

Description: This project would support the construction of a community center in Hardyston Township. The project will serve Hardyston Township and neighboring communities, expanding equitable access to programs and resources for residents, including seniors, youth, and underserved populations.

Municipal & Emergency Services Building Project for Southampton Township

Amount Requested: $2,500,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Southampton

Description: This project supports the consolidation of Southampton’s Fire, EMS and Municipal services into one building. This initiative represents a strategic investment in public safety, operational efficiency, and community engagement for residents.

Paulsboro Municipal Building Rehabilitation

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Paulsboro 

Description: This project supports the construction of a new municipal complex for the Borough of Paulsboro. This project is essential to improving the health and safety for Borough employees as well as to improve access for residents. 

Lyndhurst Fire Department Tower Ladder Truck Replacement

Amount Requested: $910,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Lyndhurst

Description: This project supports the purchase of a tower ladder truck for the Township of Lyndhurst. This project ensures dependable aerial firefighting & rescue operations for residents as well as the protection of critical regional infrastructure, major transportation corridors & industrial facilities in the Meadowlands. 

Pumper Truck for the EHC Fire Department

Amount Requested: $1,125,000

Intended Recipient: Egg Harbor City

Description: This project supports the acquisition of a new pumper truck for the Egg Harbor City Fire Department. This project will provide a critical resource to ensure all residents have access to effective emergency services.

Borough of Somerdale Fire Apparatus

Amount Requested: $700,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Somerdale 

Description: This project supports the purchase of a quint (combination pumper truck) for Somerdale Fire Department. This upgrade is essential to maintaining strong regional fire protection, supporting mutual‑aid partners, and sustaining a cost-efficient volunteer system. 

Emerson Borough Firehouse Elevator

Amount Requested: $500,000

Intended Recipient: Emerson Borough

Description: This project supports the installation of an ADA-compliant elevator at the Emerson Firehouse. This project eliminates accessibility barriers to the building’s 2nd floor meeting space to ensure all residents, including seniors & individuals with disabilities, can access essential public services. 

Revitalization/Renovations of Deer Path YMCA in Hunterdon County 

Amount Requested: $717,000

Intended Recipient: River Crossing Young Men’s Christian Association 

Description: This project supports the renovation of the Deer Path Branch YMCA serving Hunterdon County. This project will improve wellness and community programming for the 26 rural communities served by the Deer Path Branch YMCA. 

Fire Department Fire Engine Replacement for Beachwood Borough 

Amount Requested: $1,200,000

Intended Recipient: Beachwood Borough 

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new fire pumper truck for the Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department. This project will improve emergency response reliability, firefighter safety, and public protection. 

Fire Department Building Renovation and Consolidation for Borough of Ridgefield

Amount Requested: $1,020,000

Intended Recipient: Ridgefield of Ridgefield

Description: This project supports the renovation and consolidation of the Ridgefield Fire Department Building.  This investment will improve firefighter safety, operational efficiency, and response times while supporting a growing call volume and regional mutual aid network serving Ridgefield and surrounding communities. 

Municipal Complex Improvements for Borough of Stanhope 

Amount Requested: $2,500,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Stanhope

Description: This project would support improvements to the Borough of Stanhope’s Municipal Complex. This project would improve resident accessibility, improve resources for public safety and ensure the complex is fully ADA compliant. 

Rescue Squad Heavy-Duty Rescue Truck Acquisition for Ramsey, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Ramsey

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new heavy-duty rescue truck for the Ramsey Rescue Squad. The project will improve emergency response times and support specialized rescue operations across Bergen County. 

Pumper Truck for Wildwood City Fire Department

Amount Requested: $900,000

Intended Recipient: City of Wildwood

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new pumper truck for Wildwood City Fire Department. This project improves public safety by replacing an existing, 30-plus year old failing truck. 

Ambulance for Lawrence Township EMS

Amount Requested: $413,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Lawrence

Description: This project supports the purchase of a PL-Type 1 Ambulance for Lawrence River Township. This project is essential to provide reliable local ambulance needed for timely community protection.  

Hopatcong Municipal Building ADA Bathroom Renovation Project

Amount Requested: $350,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Hopatcong

Description: This project supports the renovation and expansion of restroom facilities within the Borough of Hopatcong municipal building. By bringing the facilities up to modern ADA standards, this project will ensure safe, equitable access to municipal services for all community members. 

Aerial Tower Ladder Acquisition for Allendale Fire Department 

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Allendale

Description: This project supports the acquisition of a dual-purpose aerial tower ladder apparatus for Allendale Fire Department. This critical investment will address staffing limitations by consolidating multiple capabilities into a single first-due vehicle. 

Cresskill Fire Department Fire Engine Acquisition

Amount Requested: $1,300,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Cresskill

Description: This project supports the purchase of a new fire engine for the Cresskill Fire Department. This project will improve operational reliability, allow apparatus rotation to extend service life, and ensure firefighters can maintain consistent emergency response capability for residents and surrounding mutual aid communities. 

Expansion and Enhancement of Community Health in Sussex, NJ

Amount Requested: $1,375,000

Intended Recipient: Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges

Description: This project supports the expansion. of the Sussex County YMCA. This project will improve access to essential services, chronic disease prevention programs, accessible fitness offerings, and health education initiatives critical to advancing community wellness. 

CKFD Firehouse Restoration

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Intended Recipient: Hanover Township Fire District 3 

Description: This project supports the reconstruction of a firehouse for the Hanover Township Fire District No. 3. This project will enhance public safety, improve responder health and safety, and ensure reliable emergency response for the community.

Emergency Services Complex Construction for Township of Verona

Amount Requested: $5,000,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Verona

Description: The purpose of this project is to construct an emergency services complex, which will house the Verona Police Department and the Verona Volunteer Fire Department. These upgrades will help protect property across the Township and surrounding communities.

Meeting the Moment: Expanding SCCC’s Gym to Support Growing Community Initiatives

Amount Requested: $4,250,000

Intended Recipient: Sussex County Community College 

Description: This project supports the expansion of the gym at Sussex County Community College. This project would allow the facility to offer more community programming such as community events, workforce training and youth programs.
