June 10, 2025

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Today, Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) announced he will be holding a telephone town hall with a focus on the disability community and what is at risk if the Republican reconciliation bill passes, on Monday, June 16th at 6:30 pm. Following through on his long-held commitment to hold town halls and be accessible to New Jerseyans, Senator Kim held 81 town halls before being sworn in to the Senate at the end of 2024. Since joining the Senate, he has held six town halls reaching thousands of people across the state.

During this call, Senator Kim will provide an update on the reconciliation bill that recently passed the House by one Republican vote and which is now on its way to the Senate. If passed in the Senate, this reconciliation bill would mean the loss of crucial services, healthcare, and funding that the disability community relies on for medical appointments, traveling to work and school, and living an independent life.

Senator Kim will be joined by special guests Tom Spadaro, Disability Advocate, and Peg Kinsell, Policy Director for SPAN Parent Advocacy Network, Director of the Military Family Support 360 Project at JBML, and member of the NJ Council on Development Disabilities. This call will also serve as an opportunity for constituents from across the state to call in and speak directly with the Senator to raise their questions and concerns.
