Project Name: Broad Street Bioretention Basin

Intended Recipient: Borough of Carlstadt
Description: This funding supports the construction of a bioretention basin to alleviate chronic flooding along Broad St. in Carlstadt. This would promote sustainable stormwater management & greatly improve outdated infrastructure.
Project Name: Highlands & Monmouth Hills Flood Mitigation and Green Infrastructure Project

Description: This projects supports the construction & installation of stormwater infrastructure throughout the Borough of Highlands and neighboring Monmouth Hills. The proposed project will mitigate on-going flooding and sediment runoff, improve public safety & safeguard public infrastructure from flood events.
Project Name: Emergency Services Center Building Renovation Project

Description: This funding will be used to complete the Metuchen Borough Emergency Services Center Building Renovation Project, which will update facilities to serve the community. The new space will also house the volunteer fire department which provides mutual aid across the town and across Middlesex County.
Project Name: Communications Center Relocation and Upgrades Project

Description: This funding will be used to relocate the current Englewood Communications Center (ECC) to a new building; upgrade the ECC’s radio equipment, consoles, as well as to conduct needed renovations. This project will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ECC and the safety of Englewood City.

Description: This funding will support a Joint Special Operations Facility in Camden County. This facility will function as a backup Emergency Operations Center, provide storage for emergency apparatus, and serve as a specialized training site for special operations personnel.

Intended Recipient: Township of Marlboro
Description: The funding will be used to upgrade a former firehouse facility in order to establish a new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with 911 dispatching capabilities including the ability to operate during power outages.
