Project Name: Town of Kearny for Lead Service Line Replacement Project

Project Location: Township of Kearny, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $963,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Kearny

Description: This funding will replace lead service lines across the Town of Kearny, upgrading the water infrastructure for residents. Given the aging water system, this initiative will enhance drinking water quality, safeguard public health & ensure compliance with drinking water regulations.

Project Name: Borough of Red Bank for Lead Pipe Removal and Replacement

Project Location: Borough of Red Bank, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Red Bank

Description: This funding would support the removal and replacement of lead pipes in the Borough, which pose health risks and must be replaced. Removing and replacing these pipes will provide clean drinking water for the residents of Red Bank.

Project Name: Town of Dover for Lead Service Line Replacements

Project Location: Dover, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $2,000,000

Intended Recipient: Town of Dover

Description: The Town of Dover is requesting federal support to complete the next phase of the Lead Service Line Replacement project. The proposed lead service line replacement project will enhance clean drinking water in the most urgent areas in need of upgrading.

Project Name: Township of Bloomfield for Lead Service Line Replacement

Project Location: Bloomfield, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,222,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Bloomfield

Description: Project is for the replacement of lead water pipelines in residential sections of the Township of Bloomfield to enhance water quality and safeguard public health and safety within the community. The Township aims to replace 188 lines situated along Ferncliff Road.

Project Name: Dumont Borough for Sewer Integrity Support Project

Project Location: Dumont, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,043,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Dumont

Description: This funding will be used to replace sub-standard and failing sewage lines in the Borough of Dumont. The project will also retrofit the 5 sewage pumping stations that have experienced numerous electrical problems.

Project Name: City of Elizabeth for Replacement of Known Lead Service Lines

Project Location: Elizabeth, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Intended Recipient: City of Elizabeth

Description: This funding would be used to replace additional identified lead service lines, galvanized piping, or a combination of lead and galvanized piping, from the water main to the internal home structure’s plumbing within the City of Elizabeth.

Project Name: Village of Ridgewood for Lead Service Line Replacement

Project Location: Ridgewood, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,900,000

Intended Recipient: Village of Ridgewood

Description: This project would improve the drinking water quality in the four communities that rely on Ridgewood’s water utility. Replacing the existing lead services lines with safe copper pipelines will eliminate the risk of exposure to lead and other chemicals in the water.

Project Name: City of Garfield for Lead Service Line Removal

Project Location: Garfield, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $2,400,000

Intended Recipient: City of Garfield

Description: This project is for the removal and replacement of known lead service lines in the City of Garfield. The City currently has a total of 313 known sites as of March 3, 2025 and is dedicated to minimizing the presence of contaminants in the water system.

Project Name: Ho-Ho-Kus Service for Line Replacement

Project Location: Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $2,400,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus

Description: This project would provide funding to remove all lead and galvanized water service lines. Once removed, this will provide funding to replace these lines with newer, more durable, and healthier materials that will eliminate contaminants from the local water supply.

Project Name: Township of Lyndhurst for Lead Service Line Replacement Program Phase 2

Project Location: Lyndhurst, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $10,000,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Lyndurst

Description: The Township of Lyndhurst is undertaking a multi-phase Lead Service Line Replacement project to remove outdated and potentially hazardous water service lines, ensuring compliance with New Jersey’s mandate to replace all lead service lines by 2031.

Project Name: Borough of Wallington for Lead Service Line Replacement

Project Location: Wallington, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $12,000,000

Description: This project would replace existing lead water service lines to eliminate lead in drinking water and also replace undersized storm sewers to reduce local flooding.

Project Name: City of Hoboken for North End Roadway Reconstruction Project

Project Location: Hoboken, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,095,000

Description: This project would provide funding to upgrade stormwater management infrastructure & mitigate flooding in the northwestern portion of Hoboken. By modernizing critical infrastructure, the project benefits thousands of residents, businesses, and visitors, ensuring reliable stormwater management.

Project Name: Borough of Oakland for PFAS/PFOA Treatment at Soons Well Field

Project Location: Oakland, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,552,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Oakland

Description: This project would provide funding to make necessary upgrades to Soons Well Field to remove PFAS contaminates which are currently exceeding Federal safe drinking water standards.

Project Name: Borough of Franklin for Water Meter Replacement Project

Project Location: Franklin, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $606,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Franklin

Description: This funding will be used to upgrade water meter system in order to increase efficiency and accuracy. Advanced meters would provide the residents with more accurate & efficient water meters. In addition, they will also reduce the manpower needed to read the meters, which is currently done manually.

Project Name: City of Orange Glen Avenue Bridge Drinking Water Pipeline Relocation

Project Location: Orange Township, New Jersey

Description: The City of Orange is seeking funding for the Glen Avenue Bridge Drinking Water Pipeline Relocation Project, which will secure and protect a critical 20-inch drinking water transmission main that serves thousands of residents and businesses.

Project Name: Borough of Fort Lee for Stormwater Infrastructure Improvements

Project Location: Orange Township, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $184,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Fort Lee

Description: This funding supports stormwater drainage improvements along Ellery Avenue located in the Borough of Fort Lee. This project will help meet applicable water standards by improving the Borough’s ability to properly capture stormwater, so it can be treated and filtered before re-entering waterways.

Project Name: Borough of Belmar for Silver Lake Stormwater Management and Resource Protection Project

Project Location: Belmar, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $4,125,000

Description: This funding would address the flooding, harmful algal blooms, and eutrophication at Silver Lake. The proposed project will address these issues by repairing a damaged flow pipe to the Atlantic Ocean, installing a living shoreline, and installing filters and pumps to improve water quality.

Project Name: Montgomery Township for Cherry Valley to Skillman Village Wastewater Treatment Plant Consolidation

Description: This funding will support the decommissioning of an aging waste warter treatment plan & transfer flows to the a force main and pump station upgrades. This project will improve wastewater treatment efficiency, reduce operational costs & eliminate discharge into Bedens Brook, enhancing water quality.

Project Name: City of Hackensack for Court Street Drainage Underground Storage

Project Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $8,000,000

Intended Recipient: City of Hackensack

Description: This funding will support the separation of combined sewer systems, mitigate flooding and sewer surcharges, and improve stormwater management. The project includes the installation of an underground stormwater storage system, the construction of new separated storm & sanitary sewers.

Project Name: City of Cape May for Construction of a Reverse Osmosis Water Desalination Facility

Description: This project would replace a deteriorating water treatment plant, where vital components have reached the end of their service life, with a new reverse osmosis desalination facility. This project ensures a reliable supply of drinking water for residents, businesses and the USCG Training Facility.

Project Name: Borough of Ramsey for Water Treatment Project

Project Location: Ramsey, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Ramsey

Description: This project would provide funding to construct PFAS treatment facilities at the Woodland Well and Orchard Well, which supply drinking water to Ramsey and portions of Allendale, Mahwah and Upper Saddle River. Both wells currently exceed the EPA’s maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) for PFOA.

Project Name: Borough of Paramus for Sanitary Sewer and Pump Station Upgrade

Project Location: Paramus, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $8,370,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Paramus

Description: This project would improve wastewater infrastructure by constructing a new sanitary sewer system, including a packaged pumping station, force main, and approximately 2,100 linear feet of gravity sewer main.

Project Name: Borough of Cliffside Park for Regulator 12 – Phase 2A: Sanitary & Storm Sewer Improvements

Project Location: Cliffside Park, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,440,000

Description: The proposed project will construct upgrades to the sanitary and stormwater systems required to eliminate overflows. Central to this infrastructure project is the installation of approximately 2,110 linear feet of 15’’ HDPE storm pipe and new manholes to assist in eliminating overflow.

Project Name: Sparta Township for Pump Station Improvements

Project Location: Sparta, New Jersey

Description: This project would make necessary upgrades to the White Deer Plaza Pump Station and will eliminate risks associated with pump station failure, promote surface and groundwater quality, and ensure the maximum operational efficiency of the pump station to reduce municipal energy costs.

Project Name: Borough of Cresskill for Tenakill Brook Flood Mitigation

Project Location: Cresskill, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,500,000

Description: This project would address the longstanding issues associated with the Tenakill Brook’s flood-prone nature, by raking and dredging portions of the brook and implementing other stormwater management upgrades and erosion control systems.

Project Name: Town of Guttenberg for CSO Pipe Replacement

Project Location: Guttenberg, New Jersey

Description: This project would stop the overflow of stormwater and sewage from the CSO Pipe managed by Guttenberg during heavy weather events.

Project Name: Borough of Woodland Park for Joint Force Main Replacement Project

Project Location: Woodland Park, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $4,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Woodland Park

Description: The Borough of Woodland Park intends to partner with the Borough of Totowa and the Township of Little Falls to repair the joint force main that joins the three municipalities.

Project Name: Borough of South River for Water Main Replacement Project

Project Location: South River, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $71,600,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of South River

Description: The funding requested would be used to make improvements to the Borough’s water distribution system and improve drinking water quality. The Borough of South River seeks to replace 4-inch and 6-inch substandard water mains with 8-inch ductile iron pipe water mains to improve water quality concerns.

Project Name: Borough of Watchung for Lake Dredging Project

Project Location: Watchung, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $5,712,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Watchung

Description: This funding would support the proper dredging of two lakes in the Borough of Watchung, Watchung Lake and Best Lake, removing sediment buildup and other obstructions to facilitate a proper flow of stormwater and reduce surface flooding on our roadways, sidewalks, and properties.

Project Name: Township of Edgewater Park Stormwater Pump Station

Project Location: Edgewater Park, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,360,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Edgewater Park

Description: Edgewater Park proposes installing a stormwater pump station with a backup generator to drain excess water caused by the overflowing stormwater basin in Silver Park West. The project will reduce safety concerns and eliminate the need for manual pumping.

Project Name: Township of Long Beach for North Beach Water Main Replacement

Project Location: Long Beach, New Jersey

Description: This funding would replace an aged and leaking drinking water main in North Beach in Long Beach Township.

Project Name: Old Barracks Association for Grounds Improvements for Old Barracks Museum

Project Location: Trenton, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $300,000

Intended Recipient: Old Barracks Association

Description: This funding will support necessary upgrades to the fencing and grounds of the Old Barracks Museum. In order to continue to maintain the historic structure, it is imperative to repair two external features that both protect the site & help maintain its 18th century appearance.

Project Name: Borough of Prospect Park for Main Sewer Line Repair Project, Phase 3

Project Location: Prospect Park, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,337,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Prospect Park

Description: This funding would provide the replacement of 7,000 linear feet of clay sewer pipe with PVC sanitary sewer pipe and roadway improvements as needed. This will improve the sewer infrastructure in the Southern Quadrant of the Borough, lessening risks of sewage leaks and groundwater contamination.

Project Name: Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority for Well 1 Water Treatment Plant PFOS/PFOA Treatment System Upgrade

Project Location: Burlington, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $6,400,000

Intended Recipient: Willingboro MUA

Description: Willingboro MUA’s Well 1 WTP needs PFOS/PFOA removal equipment (GAC or ion exchange, piping, valves, controls) and a building to meet the new 4 ppt EPA MCL. Current levels are 5 ppt (PFOA) and 8 ppt (PFOS). It was compliant with NJDEP MCLs but is now noncompliant under the 2024 EPA rule.

Project Name: Township of Middletown for Stormwater Pumping Station Replacement

Project Location: Middletown, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $4,950,000

Intended Recipient: Township of Middletown

Description: This funding would renovate Middletown’s pumping station, including cleaning of the site, improvements, upgrades, and replacement of any equipment necessary to keep the pumping station functional.

Project Name: North Hudson Sewage Authority for Porous Pavement Roadway Installation for Stormwater Mitigation

Project Location: Hudson, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,600,000

Intended Recipient: North Hudson Sewerage Authority

Description: This funding will support the installation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of porous pavement strips along the sides of municipal roadways in priority areas in Union City, NJ to mitigate recurrent flooding and help prevent non-source point pollution from entering the Hudson River.

Project Name: Township of West Orange for Short Hills Pump Stations Project

Description: This project would conduct upgrades and maintenance at the Short Hills Pump Station in the Township of West Orange to ensure it remains in working order, improving surface/groundwater quality, and reducing municipal energy costs.

Project Name: Beachwood Water Infrastructure Modernization

Project Location: Beachwood, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $8,890,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Beachwood

Description: The Borough of Beachwood seeks funding to replace aging water mains, improving drinking water quality and reliability. This project will replace approximately 27,850 linear feet of outdated infrastructure to reduce service disruptions and enhance water pressure.

Project Name: Borough of Matawan for Well Construction

Project Location: Matawan, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $1,072,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Matawan

Description: This funding would allow the construction of a backup well for Matawan. This project is essential for improving our system by adding a redundant well to ensure reliability in the event of a failure and allow for development.

Project Name: Keyport Borough for Water and Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation

Project Location: Keyport, New Jersey

Amount Requested: $3,000,000

Intended Recipient: Keyport Borough

Description: This funding will support crucial upgrades to water distribution and sewer collection infrastructure serving the Borough. These improvements will jumpstart critical upgrades to a 100+ year old system whose capacity has been outpaced by demand.
